AP® Biology Lab Manual for Students (2001)
The 12 labs in this manual are intended to challenge students' abilities to understand problems, develop and implement a plan, manipulate data, draw conclusions, think analytically, and develop hypotheses. These laboratory experiments cover topics in biological chemistry, cell structure and function, energy transformation, molecular genetics, heredity, evolution, plant structure and physiology, animal structure and physiology, behavior, and ecology. Conducting laboratory investigations that meet the objectives listed in this manual provides an opportunity for 'Apprenticeship learning' and some of the questions on the AP® exam will be based on these objectives, which are also listed in the Course Description.
