AP Vertical Teams® Guide for Science
The purpose of this publication is to provide direction, models, and training to AP Vertical Teams in science that will help team members organize a series of productive activities, meetings, and workshops that lead to a comprehensive, coordinated science program. The AP Vertical Teams Guide for Science is designed to support the theory that AP science offerings should not be isolated courses, but rather the culmination of a planned program for teaching skills and concepts over several years. Most of this guide is devoted to presenting specific teaching techniques and practices designed to help students improve their ability to collect data, analyze and synthesize data into understandable models and frameworks, and convey their understanding of this material in a variety of formats, including narrative, numeric, and graphic. (Recommended for AP teachers and middle and high school teachers.)
