The German Language examination is designed to measure knowledge and ability equivalent to that of students who have completed two to four semesters of college German language study. The exam focuses on skills typically acquired from the end of the first year through the second year of college study.

This examination guide contains a complete exam description, including knowledge and skills required and 59 sample questions and answers, test-taking strategies, scoring information, and study resources. It also includes chapters from the CLEP Official Study Guide 2010: Preparing to Take CLEP Examinations, Taking the Examinations, and Interpreting Your Scores.
